I just received my new equipment a few days ago. :bounce1: :bounce2: :bounce1: :bounce2:
It is my Christmas, Birthday, Father's Day, Christmas, & Birthday gift. :celeb3:

I know you are thinking, what size tank?

Or maybe you are thinking, is it high performance?

Some my ask, what brand and model equipment did you get?

And finally, when are you going to introduce it to saltwater?

I know you are thinking, what size tank? 80 - 120 cu ft.

Or maybe you are thinking, is it high performance? Definitely!

Some my ask, what brand and model equipment did you get? I will list it soon.

And finally, when are you going to introduce it to saltwater? Unfortunately, it will be next spring.

Some of you may know me enough to know my favorite hobby. While I enjoy watching sea life in my reef tank, I prefer to see things in person. It is a silent and tranquil world below the surface, and that is where this equipment excels at.

Many of you guys may not be interested, but this purchase was done in place of a reef upgrade. I do want the reef upgrade, but I want this much more. I want to explore while my body is able.

Since I plan to dive wrecks at depths that require decompression, I wanted high performance First and Second stage regulators with plenty of flow. I have completely redundant First and Second stages. In technical diving, redundancy is required. Due to my hose routing preference, I opted for the DS1 First and DS1 Second Stage HOG regulators.

This configuration may look odd to those that dive, but that is because it is a sidemount configuration.

The other main piece of equipment I just received is the buoyancy compensator. In overhead environments, it is likely that your B.C. will come in contact with jagged rusty metal from wrecks, or maybe stalactites in a cave. At deep depths your B.C. is definitely life support that you do not want punctured, so I chose a model with armored fabric. There are videos of people testing armored fabric by attacking it with sharp knives. Although it may be entertaining, you will not see that demo done with my equipment.

This model is modular, so I can customize or replace individual pieces.
You can backmount singles or doubles with an adapter. Or you can sidemount 2 or 4 tanks. Or you can backmount double tanks and sidemount more tanks. Or you can use this with a rebreather. It is a do all 4 x 4 SUV Buoyancy Compensator. This exploration model is built for more punsihment than I intend on giving it. Here is the Nomad XT:

You can see the armored fabric on the back.

It may not be exciting to you guys, but I am very happy to finally have my gear. I will have to make a trip to Florida to get everything customized by my instructor and also finish my sidemount certification.

I hope you all get something nice for Christmas and enjoy spending time with family.

Merry Christmas!
