There is a saltwater fish importer friend of mine, that has supposedly got a large shipment of Picasso clowns in. Before I ordered, I made sure he was selling the right fish, at the right price.

So I placed the order, and we shall wait and see. It should be here Saturday morning, and I will make sure to take pics:)

I know it sounds a little fishy or sketchy (which ever you feel best fits), which is why I double checked. But we shall see......we shall see....

I do too. In fact, it said in the "New Arrivals" e-mail, it said they were wild caught...wouldn't know if that's true either...

Yeah, it's 4:30 the box should be there if it is going to arrive today. We want to know if your importer friend really can pull $25 Picasso clowns. Did he get them from ORA, or are they wild caught?

Sorry guys!!!!!!!!

Here's the story...
First off, she looks nothing like an ORA Picasso at all yet (juv. ~1.5"). She still has her very light yellow coloration and very undefined stripes (def. a true perc.). And here's the major thing: she looks a lot like a misbar than anything else. BUt I like her, and I have to say, even for a misbar, and not having to drive anywhere to buy a fish, its not bad at all.

Unfortuneately, she arrived as the timer on my NC 12g shut off so I didn't attempt at taking a flash photo of a fish that I had just introduced, because I really did not feel like possibly stressing out a brand new fish. So I will take a few pics of her in her new home tomorrow and I will be sure to post them.

In the end, I have no complaints, because I really like all clownfish (main reason I started the hobby). So if I have an opportunity for a cool clown I take it home (provided I have the room). But the only thing that I would have liked to have seen, would have been a photo on the website, so I would have known what to expect, but you can't have everything you want right?;) And, for a full 26 hour shipping time, the guy only included about 3-4 cups of water in the bag at MAX, so in regards to that I thought he could have done better. But as I said, I like her and that's all that matters, and personally for $38 w/ shipping, I don't think its such a bad deal:)

EDIT: For all I know she is indeed W/C, but I really wouldn't know how to distinguish the difference. But the e-mail update said they we wild caught. So that's what I am going to go with.

Also EDIT: She has also arrived as healthy as can be with NO signs of Ich or other parasites what so ever which is great!-one less thing to worry about ;) So, she is healthy and alert (from a tiny tap on the glass, she moves). But, I have yet to feed her, so I will do that tomorrow when the lights come on as well:)

Here is the website, just incase anyone is interested...

Sorry to hear that it wasn't what you expected. But at least you got a cute healthy clown out of it. All clowns have such adorable personalities so you really can't go wrong.

Thats the exact same thing I have been telling myself since I bought my absolute FIRST fish (an O.clownfish BTW:)). And honestly, I really didn't know what to expect. So in that sense, I have no reason to be unhappy;)
