I bought a GBTA and my Tomato loves him already. Put him in and over night he moved benid the rocks in a place that gets only ambient light if any and I can't get to him to feed him. I know I'm not suppose to move him, he will take care of it himself. But I am still worried he won't move. Been there for 3 days now. I have 400w halide and the LFS had 1 VHO over him. Still looks healthy from what I can see but he did "deflate" for a while last night. The clown may help feed but no light? He's not going to starve is he?

Water praramaters are stable and within acceptabpe range or 0 (ph, alk, nitate, phos., calc., amonia). Probably different than the LFS's water though.

you need to acclimate it to your lights put some screening or egg croate over the tank to cut the light down or have your lights on for a couple hours less until it comes around as for feeding the clown should take care of that for you

I'm having similar issue with a gbta. Fairly small, about 1.5" around. I can't really get him to eat, he's hiding behind a rock. My tomato hasn't found him yet, so isn't feeding him. I've been trying to feed mysis and krill, but not much luck and now I can't really reach him.

Honestly, I would just leave it alone. The anemone will come out when it's ready. It can take a week or so, but it shouldn't hurt the nem.

Hate to hijack, but I have the exact same thing going on with my RBTA. It eats when I can get food to it. Tentacles are nice and sticky, it's just way back in the corner with little flow, and little light. I am concerned the clowns aren't eating since they never leave the nem, and I don't think there is enough flow to blow food back into that corner.

How do I test of the tentacles are sticky? I.e., mine isn't necessarily "grabbing" the food from the feed stick..

Egg create itself isn't going to block much, if any (( depending on the what type of egg create )) light. You are going to need to place window screening b/t your lights and the tank. Egg create works great for holding the window screening. With your lights, I would suggest 3 layers and remove a layer each week. I have done it that way several times and it has never affected any of my existing SPS.
