I Lost My Brakes

Roger:

Was doing some maintenance on the tank and I noticed the prop on my 6080 was lying in the bottom of the strainer, the rest of the drive unit was happily spinning away. Upon examination I discovered the brakes had fallen out. I found one of the brakes lying in the substrate, but the other is missing.

How can this happen?, the only thing I can think of is a couple days ago we had a power outage that lasted about 1/2 sec, just enough to switch off the halides and to cause the pumps to chatter.

I put the remaining brake in and it appears to be running fine...

Strange

Probably the brakes are worn from sand or particulate and the inident with the power allowed them to fall out. Phil should be able to send you a pair, you can limp by on one but I would get a set ASAP.

Thanks Roger. Just dawned on me I can probably borrow the brakes from my 240/3 skimmer which i am not using, until I get the replacements.

How do I get ahold of Phil, does he have a website or e-mail address.

Thanks again.
