And I love my wife, cuz the first one is OFF THE MARKET! :celeb3:

Thanks Garygb.

Wafflwalffle22 - Just one. I wasn't planning on buying any anemones but I have wanted a red/green BTA ever since heard they existed. And they were selling for $75 so I couldn't pass it up.

i have the great luck with having such a great lfs here in syracuse as they constantly get in all sorts of different fish and corals so i don't have to go anywhere else searching for new and awesome pieces and swimmers !

I'm sure it more than makes up for the winter pounding this year, that is a very nice looking animal. :beachbum:

hats off to my lfs ABC reefs as they have put Syracuse on the map for saltwater fish and especialy anything to do with reefs ! i used to go through a couple of tanks of gas each weekend in search of corals and fish before they opened their doors .i wish you all had such a convenient source of excellent saltwater fish and corals too !

Sweet! My LFS had an RBTA with fuschia base like yours awhile back. It was actually hosting my B&W ocellaris until I bought them...but theirs was $250, not $75! Bet you love your deal even better now! :D

And now I think we need some pics of your new nem in your tank!

Thanks for the info, I am THRILLED to learn the price was so good.

Here's a dissapointing update though. The guy at the LFS apparently tore the foot removing it from the rock, but the tear was covered with substrate when inspected it. The morning it was looking rough so I took it back and traded it for the one in the first picture after reinspecting it and finding the tear. This time I made them cut off the corner of the rock to go with it so the second one is doing great. It looks ok but I don't have any actinics untilI move it to the new tank I'm setting up. I'll go ahead and take a pic and post it later tonight.

I just got one from a store down here in Pensacola almost just like that. They got three in and sold them off cheap. I paid $30 for mine! My female clarkii is very happy with the buy.

i have been in pensacola four winters in a row and cant find any stores there ,where the heck are they ? lmao as luck will have it i will be going to myrtle beach this winter .i did find a lfs very close to the airport is that the one that your speaking of ?

*EDIT* I meant to say I ended up with the second anemone pictured after having to return the first. Big shame.

Here it is in my tank:

The lack of actinics makes a world of difference but I have a very blue setup in the works where I know this anemone is just going to glow!

I hate to say this, but to my admittedly inexpert eyes it looks a little bleached. From what I can see the mouth looks nice and tight, though, and hopefully the foot on this one is intact. Going by the advice I've seen from experienced anemone keepers, you might want to take some time acclimating it to your lights and feed it extra till it recovers some zooxanthellae. Looks like it will be a beauty, though!

Well its the second one of the 2 from the original post, just in different lighting. But it's already acclimated and doing well. Thanks for the concern, though.

Ah, good. Glad to hear it's doing well. You no doubt have a very happy clown or two now. :) And now...we need some more pictures!

The store I picked mine up from is called Aquaria. It's not too far from the airport, but it's not right by it. The one really near the airport is a pretty good place too. Both are run by good people, but Aquaria is closer to home and often has a few more hidden gems. Aquaria is on Texar and Palafox, if you're familiar with the area.
