I must stay away from CR.

So, I went in today just for a heater. Came out with 2 of the cutest tiny Pana Gobies. And, of course saw many more little fishies I'd love to have. Unfortunately I don't have any more tank space to acommodate . Hmmm. I could start another........

Yeah, I saw them right after they were added. They are cool and tiny. I picked up 2 fish when I went in ther last.

I only left with a Midas blenny, a clam and a zoanthid frag this week, so I'm pretty proud of myself... :D

Those Panda Gobies were wicked small... What are you planning on feeding them Janie???

Man...with the exception of Paul, you guys all named fish I LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Good to know that the gobies look good in there! I've been away but they know how important my tiny little friends are. Actually it was Abby who ordered those Panda Gobies. It was an excellent choice in my opinion.

If the Pandas are anything like the green and yellow clown gobies (I think they are a type of clown goby but I'm not 100%) then you should watch out for negative interaction once they are larger. I would be happy to house one of them if you notice them nipping each other.

Randy...they should be able to eat brine shrimp, shouldn't they? They're not THAT small are they? My teeny green banded gobies could eat brine shrimp. Plus, I think that gobies supplement their diet with copepods. I don't think it's enough to compete with a mandarin in a small tank but I had so many of the tiny gobies in my 135g and I NEVER fed that tank yet they all thrived. My theory was that they were eating stuff from the rocks, most probably amphipods or copepods, whichever is smaller (I can't remember...I'd look it up but I'm tired).

Update on the Pandas. They are teeeeeeny. Ther're in the 5 gallon. They both came out this AM and went after frozen Cyclopese. The "Big Head", Abby will know whom I'm talking about, stayed out and is climbing over the front glass munching pods.

Mel, they are a Clown goby. If, no when , they get bigger if there is sibling rivalry you'll be the first I'll interview for adoption so get your credentials in order!

Mel, you would love my fish if you knew them :) You know I still want a goby or blenny, I just can't pick which one. I still wnat my Randal's goby. Mel..... you are a fish hater. :strooper:

Janie~ Cyclopeeze!!! Good choice... Do you have the Freeze Dried, or the Frozen kind??

Did you set up the 5 gallon for the Pandas??? I don't remember seeing it at the meeting... I thought you said one tank was enough... Oh, and if you have the lighting I would try and get a Poccilopora frag at the swap (see link below)...

Melly~ I'd say these were maybe 3/4"??? They stay very tiny though... Max size 1 1/2", though I've never seen one larger than an inch... :)

I used to have a Randall's goby... It went carpet surfing when I redid my tank... :( I think its one of the prettier gobies, and they pair nicely with pistols... Mine was paired with a Tiger, but I think they're supposed to pair with Randall's pistol... :D

I thought they paired better with the Tiger than randal's. Either way, that was the combo that I would like. Yeah, the panda were about that size and I saw 2 of them looking jaws, but neither had a big head. They where really cute. I thought all the clowns nipped at SPS polyps. Nevermind I read the insert about SPS and the panda

I don't know to be honest... I just figured a Randall's goby surely pairs with a Randall's pistol... That and I've seen them sold in pairs by different OFS...

Heres a pic of my two buddies... :)

Randy, I have both forzen and dry, fed the frozen today. I'd like to try hatching brine, do those San Francisco Bay hatcheries work?

I had read about them and the pocciliopora, I have one in the RSM. Only have a small LED light on the tank now. What would you suggest for a light.

The 5 was up at the mtg. I ws using it to raise the magnesium up to try and get rid of briopsis on 2 zoa frags, seemed to have worked, as the briopsis lost color and appeared to be gone. The zoas are fine. I change the water back to "normal' levels before putting in the Gobys .

Is one tank ever enough?

One tank is never enough. Even I have 2 running at my place now.

Randy, I don't know which one I am more jealous of in the picture, the blasto frag (I think that is what that is) or the pair. That goes to show you...... Stop changing you tank around.
