I need a answer/idea please

I recently purchased some equipment a couple of weeks ago and cannot get any contact from this person. The package was sent and apparently was returned to sender because shipping address was not legible, then a couple days later his "parents" wrote saying he was in a "car accident". No big deal but now it's been almost 3 weeks and nothing written back. I've been tracking my pm's and seen they have been read by this idiot and it also shows when is online or online last. I've seen him online and seen he's read my pm's and still nothing.

What do I do, who do I contact? Payment was through paypal

if you linked your paypal to your credit card you can contact them and dispute the charges, otherwise trying your luck with paypal is about the only thing you can do. good luck with that though, i've heard they are very slow/reluctant to deal with things like this.

It was linked with my credit card, so contact my CC company or paypal?

i would probably contact the cc company first and get that straightened out, and ask them about any need for you to contact paypal.

Can't you cancel it thru paypal? I always thought, since paypal is safe/secure, you can talk to paypal and they can cancel the payment sent to him, since you never got what you paid for. I feel your pain though, I bought a dual halide ballast a while back, recently got around to finally setting it up (since it didn't come with any wires!) and found out it doesn't work! There's a lot of scams out there, be careful who you give your money too. Goodluck with everything, I hope it works out for you.

As long as it hasn't been 45 days (i think) since the transaction date, you can open a dispute through paypal. I would do that first. Login to your paypal account, then click 'resolution center' at the menu on the top, on the next page click 'report a problem' and go from there.

If that doesnt work or if too much time has passed to be able to do it through paypal you can do a chargeback through your CC company.

paypal is easier than going through the credit card company. it usually takes about 2 weeks for me from the beginning of a claim before i get my money back. but start it now because you are running out of time. and dont feel bad at all about starting a complaint, if he's legitimate he can still send yout he stuff and you can cancel the claim

Go to both, file a dispute with paypal and the CC company. Bottom line, you paid for an item that was not delivered and obviously he's not going to neither.
