I had a Copperband that Kept it in check for about 2 1/2 years but it died got a new one it wouldn't touch it and it died and now my tank is getting overrun Does anyone have one I can buy or borrow that is eating now

Ask your LFS to get you a Leatherback file fish. They take well to captivity (unlike the CBB) and eat Aiptasia like it's nobody's business.

got a file fish thanks for the suggestion

IME, they're reef safe, but I have read one or two times of a rogue eating a coral here and there when the Aiptasia are gone. Good news is that they sleep at the top of the water and can generally be caught very easily late in the night with a red light and your hand if he needs to be removed. I keep one in my tank and he's been a model citizen.

I have had model citizens turn into unrepentant convicts... current tankmates (pun) being a hybrid lemonpeel and an arceye hawkfish as buden of proof (pun).

Thus the reason I passed on the filefish mentioned above :)
