I have a Reef Keeper Lite Controller that has the NET module which logs all the info of the tank and so forth. I can access the webpage I need to hit when I am on my own network but cant when I am not home. People I have talked to says I need to do port forwarding on my network so I can access my network from outside. I have not the slightest idea if how to do this. I have tied to follow how to guides but I just get lost and frustrated really quickly lol. Does anyone know how to do this and if so would you be willing to walk me through the process or help in any way?

The cable router is a motorola surfboard model #SB5101 and the wireless router is a Dynex Model# DX-WEGRTR. I have a ethernet cable running from the NET module on the controller to the back of the wireless router then of course an ethernet cable from the wireless router to the cable router. I have Road Runner if that matters any?

No, this has nothing to do with your cable modem/router surfboard. It's the config on your DX-WEGRTR. Port forwarding is exactly as it sounds. When something "outside" your network on the Internet hits a port on your DX-WEGRTR, it forwards that request internally to your RKL.

So yes, the IP address you would put in the port forwarding section on your DX-WEGRTR is the internal IP of the RKL.

Problem I am having now is I cant access the wireless router... even tried using the 192.168.2.1 that is suppose to access the wireless router

How do you like the RKL so far? I've had my order on backorder with Premium Aquatics that finally released yesterday!

I like it... owners manual reads like it is in a different language so be prepared to pretty much not use it. If you have any questions let me know. I have the RKL, 2 of the PC4's, the SL2 Module and NET Module
