I need help choosing Tangs.

Beautiful list. Tangs bring a regalness to a tank. They are graceful yet lighting fast. Good luck on the Tangs.

Just My 2 cents. A black tang would be amazing.

Hepatus (hippo) and Achilles are my two favorite tangs.

I was wondering how a scopas would be with a chevron? I know there is always chance, but generally would they get along due to similar body shape?

My three tangs are the Powder Blue, Atlantic Blue, and Kole Eye. They live peaceably in my 225 gallon. When they were small, you can see them sharing a piece of floating seaweed - like a water ballet. Now, the Atlantic Blue is 8" long, Kole and Powder Blue stayed around 5 inches. The Atlantic Blue and Kole have a very similar body shape but even with the very different color, the Atlantic Blue will chase the Kole. Not too bad as there is no torn fins or cuts... Just my own opionion though, it is not very nice to see an 8" fish swimming in my cramped tank. I would not recommend the larger tangs as they do grow to their full potential.

I just love the Achilles. I have never owned one and understand they have a rep of being "expert-only", but I just love 'em.

Achilles are beautiful I miss mine so much. They are not only expert only but such sensitive fish, that was the first to go when I lost power for a week. And not only that but need major water flow. But if you can keep em, definitely an awesome tang to have.

I agree, I have one as well, I love him, so calm and just awesome to watch.

Orange Shoulder definitely go for, that was my second fish to pass when I had the black out, and he was great also. Not as hardy as other tangs or fish in general IMO but I think they're still good with a lot of different tangs.

I agree about convict tangs. A nice group of convict tangs will be going in my new 400+ gallon tank. They are not overly big either. Even in a 400+ gallon tank I refuse to add a fish that grows to a foot.
