I need help finding a pump...

Hey guys.

I need a submersible pump that pumps 500-600 (maaaaybe 650) gph that is no more than approximately 3" wide (it can be whatever length).

It's for my chiller. I had an external pump but that RSM chiller part that I got to fit into the RSM is supposed to work with a submersible pump, while the chiller needs at least 500 gph. I'm thinking that I'd rather not push the pump much past 500 gph because I don't want to overwhelm the back of the tank. I want those two smaller powerheads that pump the water back into the tank to be able to keep up.

Anyways...500-650 gph submersible pump with less than about 3" width.

Would it be possible to remove those two pumps in the back and solely use the pump going through the chiller as your main pump and thereby give yourself more space to work with???

And you can use Rio or Azoo, just don't count on them working long term...

That's what I was wondering about...that whole using the single pump idea.

But it doesn't look possible to me. There's two holes drilled into the glass through which the ends of those two pumps stick out. It's difficult to explain. I'll try to get Nathan to take a picture later. The inlet/outlet foe the chiller's pump are in the middle chamber while the two smaller pumps are in the last chamber. There is a maxi-jet mod that allows you to replace the little pumps with maxijets (at least one of them, I'm not sure if you can replace both. I have the maxi-jet 1200 for it but I couldn't ever figure our how to get the maxijet pumps to stay put.

The RSM pumps are threaded on their outlets and there's tiny threaded lockline the screws into the pump outlets once you push them through those holes in the glass.

I would check that RSM thread but it's ridiculously long and I can't weed through all the info there. Plus I'm sure no one else is stupid enough to hook up a 1/10 HP chiller to their RSM 34g.

The Genx2400 does 635 and is 3.15 inches wide.

Russell, do we have a Gen-x2400? I thought I looked at those and the pump was thin but the base (that you can't remove) was too big.
