Hey everyone! I am in dire need of prayerfully someone w/ experience in the Tunze powerheads/Wavemakers and there components! I have a Tunze 6100 Powerhead ( the older model one ) which came with the silver boxed shape Driver ( Its the 7240.27 Driver ), and the 7091 Single controller. ****HERE IS MY PROBLEM**** About a week ago I decided to take the silver covering off of the Driver in order to see why it was making this loud screeching noise, or loud constant beep, when I would try to plug the Powerhead ( the white 3 pronged ) insert into the driver. I am out of options, im so down about this because this was the only Powerhead I had in my 90g Mixed Reef Aquarium. And now its all gone downhill. ***************Can Anyone help me, or has anyone had this happen to them, or what they did in order to fix it? I am desperate to get this thing back up and running as it was the heart of my Aquarium! Thank you all so much for any help at all, Stephen

that noise you are hearing is the alarm, which means that the prop isn't turning, pull the pump apart and clean it well with water and vinegar.

Hey.....Thanks guys!!! I was in a panic honestly. My coral/fish/ whole Aquarium knew nothing but the Tunze, and having to add 2 1050 hydors to it (which I cant stand the constant flow, not ocsiltating flow, but constant and way to strong). I am deff going to try to take it apart again and clean it, I tryed at first and saw nothing keeping it back from working, but than again you never know, so I will deff. try the vinegar and Pray for the best, because the LAST thing I wanted to do was send it off somewhere. I would buy a new one before I did that, just because of the age of this one being more than 4-5yrs old. I had traded a LFS 2 Hydor powerheads for it when first getting my 90g a year and a half ago. But thank you guys so much........I never second guess people like you all!! I am still learning, and one day hopefully have the knowledge of ya'll! God Bless, and Thank you again,

That pump is good for another 5 years at least! Yes as stated above take it apart and clean it good, run it in vinegar, and that alarm is just like some said is because the pump is not spinning. Let us know if it worked?
