I need help on flow for a 300g

I've decided to go with a Tunze setup for my system, but I'm not sure what I need. I have a guess, but I thought I would ask the experts.

The tank will be a mixed reef. The dimensions are 96x30x24 (LxWxH). I was thinking 2 6200s and 2 6100s. I plan on having most of the SPS towards the top and the LPS and softies towards the bottom.

I'm thinking that I will have a 3" sand bed (fine sand). At least that it is my current thought. I might go bare bottom.

Personally I think 4 6101s would be fine and would be plenty of flow. If you want the extra flow to play with the combo you mentioned would be fine too, especially if you go barebottom.

Just keep in mind that the 6201's only provide wider flow, it has no more reach than the 6101. I agree with Shawn. A 6201 covers 72 by 30" vs 72 by 24" for the 6101.

Thanks Roger. I was thinking about the 6200s for more turnover. But if you guys think the 6100s will work, that's great! More money in my pocket. Talk about service....not trying to get me to buy something I don't need

My tank is the same dimensions and went with 2 6100 and 2 wave boxes. Happy with the movement,HTH.
