I switched from PC to T5 and I wouldnt even consider PC. I got my TEK T5 retro's from Les and they were pretty reasonable. I don't know how they compare to the icecaps but i'm happy with them.

What kind of Anemone, and what kind of clam? Are you looking to expand on what you keep now? If so, how?
The animals you wish to keep should dictate what kind of lights you keep them under.
I don't have much personal experience with T5 lighting. I'll tell you that I've seen them in person, and been blown away by how bright they look when used with the right reflectors.
Put the wrong reflectors on them, you might as well have tiny little NOs.
I've come to accept that most of what we keep can successfully be kept under the right T5 set up, especially in tanks of 24" or less depth.
I'd take Joe's word for it, he's done a touch of research on the subject
