Never doubt your girlfriend/spouses dedication to your hobby even if they don't show it.
I went out of town this weekend and made new water level signs, laid out the B-ionic and gave a little lesson to the girl befor I left.
Over twenty four hours later she called me to say the xenia looked funny(the wavy things as she calls them), and the water level in the sump was WAY high.
It seems that somebody decided to actually follow the directions on the bottle of DTs before he left town and decided to turn the pump circuit off and give the corals a good drink before it was filtered out by the sock and skimmer.
On that sump circuit(power strip) is two of my three display Seios, the main return pump, CHILLER, HEATER, and phosban reactor. I was such in a hurry to leave town and to get her straitght I totally forgot to turn it back on. To top it off I was checking the heater setting(don't have a controller yet and don't want the chiller and heater fighting each other) and noticed the light wasn't comming on.....thinking it had burned out I just unplugged it(remember the strip is off) I should have clued into that one. Talk about dense!!!
Long story short I screwed up and my girlfriend who rolls her eyes everytime I bring home another colored stick saved my EXPENSIVE toy.
It ran for over a day with no filter, chiller, heater, with one 820 Seio and MH lights heating up the water.....good thing for me she runs the AC contantly.
Thank you Shannon.....
