I recieved A broken OR3700

Hello Albert,
Last February I received an OR3700 with a broken housing. I spoke to you on the telephone and you told me to send you a photo. I emailed you the photo 6 times and you replied that you did not receive anything from me. I even used different email addresses to ensure you got the photo. I also paid for shipping insurance but you did not ship the pump with insurance. After the 6th email and countless phonecalls I gave up. But now I have found this lovely forum. Here is the photo of the the broken OR3700. The pump works , but has never worked properly. It must be banged hard inorder for the impellor to start spinning. I contacted aquamedic and they said it was aquacaves responsibility.

For some reason we never received those original emails from you.
It looks like the back cover is the only part that needs replacing. Please confirm that and we'll ship one to you later today.
Broken back cover should not affect the way pump is operating. These needle wheel retrofitted pumps are prone to start up problems since the needle wheel impellers blades are wider than the original paddle blades and it fits tighter in the pumps casing. I will contact AquaMedic and arrange for new impeller to be shipped to you.
Please email me at products@aquacave.com your original invoice number for the pump so I can get those part out for you.

Thanks for your prompt reply to help us. I thought that whatever damaged the housing also caused the impellor to get stuck. I have faith in your experience with these pumps. How do I remove the housing? Will send you details about my pump.

There are two grooves on each side of the pump. Slide a pen under the back cover along each groove and gently push it off the pump. You have to do all four sides before the back cover can be safely removed from the pump.

Thats great news! Thank you for taking care of this issue Albert. For sometime I thought I would be stuck with the broken pump but you really made that experience into a positive one by correcting the problem immediately. Thank you for your time and Happy Holidays!
