I rented a par meter and....

Okay, what should it be?

My blues usually in the 90% range (LEDS) and whites, 60%. UV 90%.

Top of the water, over 350-400 par. Mid, 250. Sand, less than a 100 in some spots.

I have 4 old Hydra 52's, bought used. No idea how old they are. I sent the serial numbers to Aqua Illumination, they said they couldn't determine the age of the lights. I thought that was odd.

I don't do SPS, only LPS, softies, clams.

Everything seems okay, hope I didn't open a can of worms. But in some spots on the sand, the par reading were in the 60's.

400 might be high for some soft corals. 60 will be fine for most of your corals. My 150 gallon has a similar range. Mushrooms, zoas, GSP, and a purple long tentacle anemone are all live in the 60-100 par sand bed.

I'd leave it there and see how it does

Bulk reef supply. $50 to rent but need to put $450 deposit down. They refund your card after you return. They tax the whole amount though, which was a bit of a bummer. I was determined at that point, but it made a $50 rental more like $100.

Good to know and they never disclose that kind of stuff. Amazing that the reviews never mention it

99% sure they aren't supposed to charge tax for the deposit, or at least it should be refunded when the deposit is returned. Might want to ask about that.
