After a month with a smallish white and blue tip condy, I got up this morning only to find what appeared to be a nickel-sized piece of something on the outside of one of my powerheads. I couldn't really tell what it was but after looking all over my aquarium and not finding my little Condy, I've reached the conclusion that the piece on my powerhead is what was left over. I'm betting it's a foot since it was the only piece with enough matter not to be pulled into the head. Every other time I fed my condy (once a week a small piece of shrimp) it would detach itself from its location, ball up and roll around the bottom as if being well fed didn't give it the strength to hold on while digesting. Historicially, I put it back in its previous location and it would grab on and become its usual self later in the day. Evidently, this time it decided to crawl up the glass or float upwards and and get caught up. None of my fish or corals seem to have been bothered by whatever must have been put into the water but I'm wondering if I should be doing some water changes now.
How in the world can any anemone be safe from powerhead? Is there a good powerhead mod such as screening?
Regards,
Bob
