Again, that thing is nasty and be glad you disposed of it. I think any worm will be forced to eat coral if it cant find something else.

Not sure if this is my zoo problem, mine are dieing off in different spots in the tank, I know I have worms though I have seen them...Some aren't so bad right?
 
GD Chris... Ashley wants to know what causes that??? Or rather, how dogs get them??? I had the sound off, so I don't know if they said how the dog got them... Thats freaking nasty though... I can't believe they just kept pullin' them out!!! :eek1:
 
That's a "giant kindney worm" or Dioctophyme renale.
Dogs get em by eating infected fish or frogs(that aren't cooked of course).....we can get them too:)
I'm not sure if they occour in East TN. That case was in Canada. They mainly infect mink.

I'll just say taking the parasitology course can make one pretty paranoid;)

I actually feel quite nauseated! That was pretty... hmmmm "gross" just doesn't cut it! Thanks for the vid though, need to hear the sound next time when I'm not sitting in class!
