If starboard is actually polyethylene plastic, then you can get it cut to size and just about any thickness from a company called Mcmaster, its an industrial maintenance and parts company. Not sure how good this is, but they quoted me $93 for a sheet 8'x2'x 1/4" thick.

Hi Kevin,

Starboard and Seaboard are actually "UV stabilized" HDPE, so, while the UV stabilization should not be a real issue - regular HDPE is not the same. Starboard & Seaboard also come in different colors such as 2 shades of tan which is nice

I bought mine from http://www.usplastics.com
Also, get 1/2".
In addition, the stuff is easy to cut with a Skilsaw and a fine cut plywood blade. I also clamped on a straight edge to cut straight lines.

Plain ol' PE should be fine for the tank. It's commonly used in the food industry so...
