My acans have been going down hill for the last 2-3 months, I have been trying everything related to water quality to random dips and saw no improvement. Turns out these acans were in the same spot on a rock, last night after dark I saw a little worm munching on my pink acan! It wasn't a standard bristle worm and previously, I have never noticed such a worm. In addition, for the last few months I have been blowing off dust/sand in a crack between the acans, I didnt think much other than it shouldnt be there (high flow area coupled with I dont have sand as a substrate), now I think its traces of the worms burrowing their homes.

A pic of a piece of the worm, left the suspected culprite, right is a standard bristle (sorry for the quality). It looks like one of those sand worms from beatlejuice with thin black stripes down its body.
