so I have 2 Sun Super Aquatic VP-101 800 GPH that I am running 24/7 until I can get a controller, and it seems like it might be to much. So is there such a thing as to much flow? right now my tank is holding a few Cuc and 2 fish no corals yet

That only works out to ~30x turnover not including your return. It will depend on your stocking plan however. My 120DT SPS/LPS reef is at ~70x and I'm thinking of adding more.

I have a WP25 on one end and an RW8 on the other. They alternate on and off but I think one is rated around 3000gph and the other 2000gph (for whatever that is worth) in a 75. Flow is pretty high at the top of the tank but the bottom 2/3 is relatively light. They're in Else mode so it isnt constantly at full flow either.

Thats not too much at all..
30x display volume per hour is good but not overkill at all..
Some SPS tanks run 75-100x display volume per hour..

so when the corals start to go in I'm prob going to need more flow sounds like
Not necessarily..
30X is a good amount of flow and should be just fine for most corals..
There is really no magic number... Try what you have any adjust if needed..

Ding ding ding... I'm running 2x Tunze 6065s and 2x 6105s with a Syncra 4 in my 75 BB. How it's going now, I figure I'm blowing 7500 +/- 500gph. The bottom is pretty clean :D

Not to be a P.I.A., but there is a difference between 'Flow' and 'Circulation'.

You want as much water circulation (turnover) as possible without creating hurricane conditions in your tank - Flow.

There is a fine balance to be attained between the two. Future coral purchases/placements will determine your flow in the end.

Its hard to have to much flow in a reef. As long as it's random. I don't factor in the return. On my tank my return feeds a frag tank, fuge, media and calc reactors. So I'm probably only running 500gph through the display. In my display I have 4 tunze 6095 and a gyre 150. All cranking 75/90%.
