I think my fish has popeye

I think my fish has popeye, all water quality readings are good. Nitrates only 5.0. I have a heniacus butterfly fish. He has one eye that is puffed up but is acting fine and eating fine. I have also noticed some white in his black stripes, it doesn't look like a parasite i dont think but it just looks like the white is bleeding through the black stripes. Anyone got any words of wisdom or knowledge they can spread to me??

Pop eyes are usually caused by phisical injury and or bacterial/parasitic infection.
It is more commen for both eyes to pop when bacterial infection is the cause.

One approach is to supply optimum water conditions and a good diet enriched with vitamins and supplements wating for the fish to heal itself.

If it were me I would take it out to a HT snd treat it with a broad spectrum antibiotics as well as trying to improve the water quality and a good diet.
