i got this meleagris over a year and a half ago to go with a larger meleagris. my thoughts were that the larger/older one would change sexes but after a year together it never did...
well about 6 months ago the larger of the two died.. then today as we were doing a water change we noticed a big difference in the color and pattern of the wrasse. it's going from white with black spots to a green and red pattern on the head, working it's way back into the body of the fish..
i'm not sure why it decided to change all of a sudden.... the only other wrasse in there is a smaller radiant wrasse...
it's really kinda neat, i think the color and pattern change is going to make it look like a whole different fish....
