There is a Marine Science Teacher at Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School in Spring Hill, Ff. She is having a hard time keeping inverts. They have a 55 gallon that was donated to them and they are looking for donations of equipment or inverts.
This is an excerpt from an email so you can see the type of help needed. Let's see what we can do for them. I will contact her as well to see what the TBRC can do. Thanks to Ian for bringing this to my attention.
We have a 55 gallon tank that we started in October with saltwater, Live Sand, Live Rock, and later, fish in it. The sand and water were donated by Holiday Aquariums and Ms. Smith donated the Live Rock for us. The fish were donated by ORA over in Vero Beach. We have not had much success in keeping live invertebrates to help keep our community healthy. We did lose a number of fish over the Christmas break due to a power outage and poor filtering, but the tank has since restabilized. However, I’m not sure how alive or “live rock†is at this point.
Our tank has a BioBag system filter and a good air pump for the dissolved Oxygen levels. We do have one hood light at this point and I hope have a second soon.
