I thought percs were peaceful?

I have 2 perculas.. a false and a true. They harass everything I put in the tank. Recently I added an anthias and the bigger perc (false) was smacking it around for a few days. Just today I added 4 blue/green chromis and the clowns have already killed 2. They trap them down by a rock they hang around and pin them to the sand flapping their tails until they die.

what's the problem here and how can I stop the slaughter?

Clowns are basically damsels & are aggressive. Unless your tank is very large, they will go after anything with a similar shape & size. I'm also surprised that a perc & a false perc get along.

Try re-arranging the rock a little, especially where the clowns are at. This will "reset" there territory and might help the other fish from getting beat on.
