you would think i never feed this little guy...but damn...he gets feed every two-three days..

Carpets take down huge animals lol a carpet took down my mimic tang right in front of my face. I moved in fast and ripped him out of there. Felt so disgusting. When i came back from school he was gone and the carpet had spat his bones out that evening. He also took down a 4-5 inch blenny. The carpet itself was 8 inches max when fully expanded.

my nems mouth still hasnt fully closed after eating Steve..

there is still a little white bit of the inside of his mouth sticking out...will this eventually go back to normal? i am sure it is because Steve was as big as he was both about 2.5" across...

What you're witnessing is a true piece of life on the reef. Be sad for "Steve" but pat yourself on the back for the accomplishment.
These animals do what they do. If you don't want a carpet to eat a fish, you can't put them in the same tank.
