haha i think i saw the two little thingys today so i guess im going with either Vince, Richard(from TBS rock who gave him to me) or Steve as in my really good reef buddy who got him from richard for me! so im not sure yet
however i got out some mysis today and put it in a large eye dropper and held it next to Vince/Richard/Steve's burrow and expecting to have to force him out to eat he came bolting out and started eating straight from the tip of the eye dropper

glad to hear you love him. I feed mine larger chunks of shrimp. Just a note on training mantids: don't target feed them right by their burrow. Force them to come out to eat by placing the food near their burrow in the open or just feed outside the burrow in the open. This way the mantis will feel more comfortable coming out and will do so more often. It will also make it more comfortable with your presence.
don't force them so much that they starve of course. You could gradually feed further and further away from the burrow instead.

ok well i have a ton of flow in this tank and his burrow is in the rock higher on the rock structure so there is no real way to get the food out of the burrow and on the rock it would get blown away in a second check my current tanks thing under this post to see how much flow i have!!

no i just had to get a pump when i started my tank and i got the seio for a great price so i kept it and then when i set up my ten gallon i had to get a smaller pump and i have always been a fan of maxijets so i got a 600 and then i just wanted more flow cause im getting everything ready in the 29 to go into a 58 and then it will be sps so the koralia 4 was a good choice im probably going to sell the seio though to get a koralia cause then i can have to more powerful and matching pumps then the maxijet and whisper 40 will go into the ten gallon with the mantis when we move
