He's about 1" I would think that the shrimp will eventually excavate his burrow to accomodate the goby once they pair up.
I want a Pistol Shrimp

Update on the shrimp:
ok, so for three days, I didn't see my shrimp, and was pretty sure he had died because none of the food i put in would reach his hole since its like under all this rock. And I just kind of forgot about it.
But then-yesturday I was watching my tank and I saw the shrimp!!! He had gotten signifigantly bigger, like, alot bigger. So he molted.
But then next, he went out of that tiny hole, and moved into the gobies hole. And thats all I saw of it, I'll have to update again whether it stayed in the hole because its like a tunnel-theres an exit on the other side, so it might have just left.

At least with my pistol shrimp, I sure don't have to see him to know he's not dead. I hear him every day.

Oh, are you saying they won't pair up with my diamond goby?
This, I wasn't sure about. I'm fine if it won't.
Are there any other gobies it will pair up with besides the highfin?
And I hadn't seen it lately except for last night. Since it molted, it's snap has gotten twice as loud. I don't really mind it though, its really interesting to me

i dont really think it matters too much on the type of goby and shrimp combo. the few pistols that i had paired up with gobys that were from the other side of the world...lol..
i have only had 1 pistol shrimp that has not paired up with a goby and thats the zebra one i have now.
