I want to add these to my 55g reef

Ive seen tangs do just fine in 55g-75g. When the time comes for them to move to a bigger tank then you find them a good home. as far as them not having enough room, who are we to judge?? They come out of the ocean and have all the room in the world....by taking them out period and putting them in a glass box is not right but we do it anyway! As long are they are properly taken care of for a few years in a 55g thats fine as long as you can let them go when the times comes. I give you credit for asking rather then the person taking it home and putting it in a 29g biocube!

wow that site lists a yellow tang's min tank size as a 20g.... maybe for a baby, im not tang police, i have had a yellow in a 55, but thats absolutly rediculous. It even says a porcupine puffer would be good in a 55. I wonder if they sell blue whales if it says it will be fine in my 55....

Assuming its a 55 'long', i'd go with a small scopas tang.

reefkoi lives near me. but hes mostly about corals...if you like corals though give him a call and set up a time to check it out...his setup is amazing. i dont know if you know him or of him but hes popular in acan enthusiast circles.
