The last time i was at my lfs they had a rainbow bta for sale for just $40, and i didn't think about it until i got home lol. But my current tank has been set up for 5 years and its just a 24g aquapod so i decided that on black Friday i'm going to go out and try to find a innovation marine nuvo mini 38g. I'm planning on taking about 2 cups of my current sand and then for the rest of the sand its going to be brand new since i want a finer grain. I'm going to be putting roughly 20% to 30% of my current water in to the tank. And i'm going to be placing all of my live rock into that tank to with a bit of dead rock since the last piece of live rock i bought came with a bunch of bristle worms and those things make me shiver when they get big lol. So what i'm asking is can i get a anemone now or should i wait until 6 months or whenever my new tank settles?

bristle worm are really good for the tank. I would not use the water but reuse the rock. Also I would rinse the sand in salt water to get some of the detrus out then put the new sand on top of the old sand. The courser sand will keep the finner sand from flowing around.
You really need diversity in your tank and really need the bristle worms to keep the tank clean. They are the most effective scavenger in your tank.

You will most likely be fine to transfer an anemone directly to a new tank but watch the cycle.
Honestly I would wait until you tranfer everything to the new tank and give it a month or so for everything to settle back in. At that point, after you have had a little cycle, you will most likely be fine to add an anemone.

You got 1000 of them because there is too much excess food in your tank to feed 1000 of them. If there are not enough food, some of them will died and the rest eat them. They will breed to the level support by the food you feed the tank. All the eggs feed the corals and fish. They are good for your tank. I got one that is 3 feet long or more in my tank.
If you don't have them, the food will all spoil and kill the tank. That is why we have "live rock" rock that have these animals in them.

IMO, I'd get the anemone now, it may not be there in 6 months. Put it in the smaller tank and start cycling the larger tank. I have used old water, but nothing beats established LR.
I thought my LR was sterile as I tore down my tanks 3 years ago. It's been in a tank in the basement with a heater and ph's. I actually bought bristleworms in a detritivore kit. A couple days ago I saw one big enough to saddle.
