I want to install a refugium

Hi everyone I'm new to this site, it seems really cool and informative. Ok so my question is I have a 30 gallon reef tank with a orbit marine pro led light also an eshopps psk 75 hob skimmer. And lastly I have a canister filter. With that said I want to install a refuigium just by itself. Without the sump for now, soon I'm looking up grade my whole aquarium. So which one should I buy and also will it be ok if my skimmer is on the back of my tank. Hope to hear from you guys.

In your case, I would go with a hang on the back refugium (like your skimmer).

You could do a chaeto reactor as well. Have the feed pump in the tank and just keep it next to your canister filter. This is my reactor. What I love about it is that it's a pod growing machine. Also keeps my sump from getting super filthy.

Without doing a sump/waiting until you upgrade, an HOB refugium is your primary option. Finnex makes an ok one and you can get it bundled with a pump and light for about $60 off Amazon.

I have a CPR HOB refugium, a little bit more pricey but its nice quality and a great fuge.
