I want to see pics!

Chris here are some construction photos to wet your appetite. Bob will have to supply the rest.

This guy arrived early and was still at it when I arrived.

Heres where all the fish and coral called home for most of the day.

Tom got involved with the overflows.

Bob like an expectant father watches as Chris puts in the first water.

Uh Ohh is that a leak in the bulkhead??
IMGP5309.jpg

Don't worry James has stuff in his car that could fix it.

Well here is the last shot as I had to get to my wifes work before 5 but it was almost there.

Now you didn't see much of Jake in those shots. 2 reasons 1. he likes to keep a low profile and 2 he and his brother were BarBQueing some awesome steaks that Bob had for us.

All in all a productive event and hopefully we get to see some great shots of Bob's tank in the future

p.s. Bob ...memorial day I have to go to my wifes work in the afternoon if you need someone to take some finished photos. Let me know...craig.

Craig,

Thanks for the Pics and Thank everyone for their help. Tank seens to be doing well. I was cleaning My skimmer and the ceramic inpelar shaft broke so the skimmers down until I get a new one.

In talking with Grant yesterday we decided the pump needs to be moved to the back left side to create some room,

Thanks again everyone for helping

Happy Menorial Day

Hey Jeff, great seeing you here. So when are you going to start something? ... a little bird told me that Jake is getting rid of his 75 gal rimless ;) ... btw, you might want to come to our next meeting at Pezzi winery

Sorry I couldn't make it to this one (sick kids and sicker wife meant I was on "caretaker" duty), but would love to make it to a meeting up here in "da 'burg" (which, I gather, is where the next one will be - Pezzi King Winery?).

Is the date set yet?

Any pics yet of the tank 24-36 hours after set-up, Bob?

And, on a completely different note, were any of our club members the "lucky" winner in this eBay auction awhile back:

If you were the buyer, I'll take a frag :-)

Either way, great to see that your tank got set up, Bob... let me know if you need/want another piece of that "maybe a tort?" acro I have in my tank, and I'll be happy to cut you one as a "tank warming" gift :-)

Hey all, thought I would update the after the pics info. After most of the group left we were able to get the skimmer in and running, calcium reactor also, lights on top and running, reactor for carbon and a basic cleanup on the wiring and check for further leaks. We also did more work on getting his controlled and probes working.Bob and his wife will be coming to my showroom to pick the exterior finish and door style after I get back from LA next week. The wiring will still need a proper sorting out and the plumbing will need some rerouting and cleaning up. Finally, Congrats on the new tank Bob.

Grant

Grant, thanks for staying and finished up the move. I felt bad leaving but it was 4:30 already I only had from 9-3 pm planned and I just ran out of time, my shop was very busy and wife needed my help too so I was torned. Glad to see everything finished.

I think the pump still need to be moved because it is taking up too much space in the front of the sump. Whoever created that complicated mess underneath the tank need to be spank and send to florida ... lol ... I am a firm believer of keeping it simple so when something goes wrong or when you have to move or having someone watch your tank while you are on vacation thinga can be easily put back together.

Btw, it was great to see a master cabinet maker at work. You are awesome Grant.

I agree, the wiring needs to be sorted out first. The controller display module could go on the wall above the tank to the left so Bob can check the tank with a glance, The halide ballasts can go out in the shed behind the DT to get the heat away from the tank and then all thats needed are lots of zip ties and some patience ;) after that there will be tons of space to replumb the beast.

I had to stay as Bob had waited for this beast for so long I couldnt just leave him lol. Mike also stayed so TY mike.

It was great to see all of you guys again.
