So a while back I got 2 40 breeders from Steve but was told one had a leak. I drilled the other 40 and am using it now but the one with the leak was in my back yard just taking up space and looking fugly. I was going to break it and throw it out but did this instead.



Waiting for the silicone to dry before I leak test it.

Yeah me too but I'm tired of seeing a big blue tub with my spare live rock and the fish I got with the 40 sitting in my kitchen. It's going to be just temporary though

Did you take it apart and redo or just run another layer of silly-cone over the old?

The second option is dangerous unless you really want a new floor and looking for an excuse!

No John it's glass from a 40 breeder, took completely apart and removed all the silicone then cut to size and siliconed again. Really wished the bottom part didn't break so I could have made it without the bulkhead holes. Up to now it's still holding water and no leaks.
