i will never buy dt's again

had a bottle of dt's for about two weeks. i have been using there produces for a while. well the bottle of dts smells very, very bad like roten eggs maybe even worse. the other bottles i had did not smell like this. so some guy named dennis call me with the worst attitude talk to me like i was a kid getting in trouble . and i was very nice to him till i couldnt take it no more.so i let him have it right back and he hung up on me. so he can give it but he cant take it.

love the product, what would you guys do. this is really has me upset. whish he would have talked to me like i was a person. and not a dog, man this bugs me.

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I don't think this is typical customer service for DTs. Everyone has a bad day and it would be hard for me to write them off after one call, even though Dennis should have behaved more professionally.

Did you try working with the place who sold you the DTs? Usually it only spoils b/c it's been allowed to warm up or b/c it was really old. If it went over in 2 weeks, I'd guess your LFS didn't take good care of it on their end, or you need to check your fridge's thermostat.

I have always wondered why people have used DT's.

I use nothing in my tank and my tank is doing great. Seems these products do more to pollute a reef than help, JMO.

Fish poop has always worked for me. :thumbsup:

It never fails that if I cannot tell someone that contacts me what they want to hear, it is because I have a bad attitude. For the record; I cannot smell your bottle of phytoplankton over the phone or via email. As I told the angry young man, if you feel that the product is bad, return it to the store that you brought it from and have them replace it. I also ask that you read the section on my website on storage and odor that explains to the best of my ability why it smells and what to expect. For the record DTââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s Live Marine Phytoplankton does have an unpleasant odor. The odor has gotten stronger because the product is denser then it was last year. If someone wants to discuss this with me with out yelling on the phone and ignoring what I say I will be happy to talk or reply by email. I will not take abuse from anyone on the phone or via email.

I had the same thing happen to me, kinda. I asked a while back about how you know when DT's goes bad. I was wondering if it's safe to use up until the date on the bottle. He replied to the thread and basically went off on a few people. I guess he has some pent up anger.

Just clean your glass/acrylic to feed your tank. You're just adding nutrients to your tank.

zooplankton eats phytoplankton, thus if you increase the phytoplankton, you'll eventually increase zoonplankton populations.

zooplankton is then eaten by SPS.

why do you have to call me a angry young man. in my post did it say angry old man. i dont know if you heard the way you were talking to me. i called to ask a simple question. i dont know if you had a bad day or what. but if somebody said they love your product and then to be talked to in such a manner as you did. not good costumer service. if you are tired of being ask the same questions why dont you have the other gentalman answer the phones he was very nice, did i yell at him NO!!!!! i yelled at you i wonder why, and buy the way i am 30 years old that does not mean i am an idiot cause i am younger than you. people of any age can be a idiot. as i said before this is not the first time i have used your product . this bottle smells real bad.
