ICE cap 660 ballast

I have come to see that I have an icecap 660 ballast with 4 sets of VHO endcaps that I dont need. $100 for the whole set. the balast is maybe a year old. I had an ARO system, so this one comes with the modular plug that makes it VERY easy to hook up. I was going to use it on the new tank, but ive decided to do the T-5's in stead.

it will drive 4 48" 110 watt bulbs.

dude you should drive your t5's with the ice cap. do you already have t5 endcaps??

You mean Overdrive, No. I thought they run them a bit stronger in wattage? But cut bulb life shorter?

I dont think ill need to worry about over driving them. plus the mix of light i have now is perfect.

I have the endcaps in the hood and the t-5 ballasts already installed. Truthfully, I need the money too.. been a bit over budget since I went and picked up that new tank.

Icecap now has t5 bulbs with heavier filiments specifically designed to run "overdriven" on the 660. I have never used them, but icecap makes some good stuff. might be worth a try.
