Ice Cap Ballast ?

I have a choice between a 430 or 660 ballast to power two 72" URI super actinic bulbs.

Since it's just an actinic bulb, does it really make any sense going with the 660?

I have tried to overdrive several actinic bulbs, and I don't think it works. I have only observed with my eyes and not an instrument, but I don't think the extra umph is going to do anything for you.

I'm wondering if it makes a difference b/c the bulb will be 72" and might need a little more power?

You could be right. Plus the extra isn't going to hurt anything and will allow for improvements down the road perhaps, which is very good.
