You don't say how you cleaned it, but have you taken it out and soaked/run it in a vinegar bath?

Are you sure the noise is from the pump? Have you checked the impeller?

Good idea, I will try the vinegar bath. The noise is from the pump for sure. Impeller is intact.

Mine had some noise coming from pump..took it out and the impeller was broken. Replaced it and it is good now

My PS200 arrived today, thanks to Premium Aquatics for super fast shipping. So far, I am pleased with my purchase. My only concern is the fact that the water level in my sump is only 7.25 inches. Build quality is great, and it is quiet imo.

Are the dimensions on the skimmer correct? im trying to fit the ps200 in my trigger 26 sump which has a section of 8.25"x 10"

Cancel your order. Mine is just over a year old. Already had issues with the pump making so much noise. Replaced it with a new pump. Now the second pump is doing the same. Also, it's been overflowing quite a bit lately.
Very disappointed.

yup, PSK 1000, absolute crap.

I've had a k120 for quite a while now and it works like a champ, quiet as a mouse. I think it's the luck of the draw with most skimmers. Seen people complain even about the high end skimmers.

Mine would run hot and seize. I do love sicce pumps and have found them to be reliable but the one I got was a lemon. I returned the skimmer and went in another direction. It was also really loud.

no noise complain from my k2 200. pump run great and dead silent. no overflow issue that I am not directly responsible of. I would not worry about your purchase.

Was thinking of buying the K2 120 vs the new RO Essence 130?

Well, so far, so good... This thing seems like a beast.

I'll update accordingly, I plan on posting a review once I've had enough time with the skimmer.
