Ice Cap Out of Business

I don't see them going out of business. Aquarium lighting is only 25% of there business. I us to have them build lights fixture when I worked for sunlight supply. They where the #1 back then. If this is ture thatgoing to be a big lost. I'll have to look if I still have chucks # the owner.
 
well I talk to chuck he sold it 6yrs ago. To two of his employes. And it's news to him. Also a friend of my that owns hydroponic business he said they sold icecap name. And he don't know who bought it. That's all the info I got.
Hope who ever bought it will open it back up. They always had a good product. The name icecap was #1 for lighting when I was in the hydroponic bizz. That was 9 yrs ago.
Wish the new owners luck.
 
If Chuck sold 6 years ago, and he doesn't know anything about it, then why does the second thread Bill posted a link to reference an e-mail from Chuck saying to contact him and that he apologizes for the situation. Something doesn't add up.
 
Very odd. I know they are BIG NAME in lighting PERIOD. I do remember a period where they were called Icecrap but they have come back and make a quality product. I have 3 of their ballasts under my tank now.

thats not the chuck that i know and talk to. that maybe one of the empolyes that took over or someone in management most corporation. wont tell you everything when they are going under. reson being try sale it or not lose the name that they built.

there is more they one chuvk in the world. like my name zef Im not the only one out there with the name zef. In my nationality (Albania) zef is a popular name..:bounce3:
 
I tried calling them and did not get a message they are out of business. Also you are going off of something posted on a Forum that is public domain anyone can post anything. I will wait till tomorrow nad call them directly to find out the truth. IceCap is a big local company and I know for a fact they do other tings besides aquarium lighting.
 
Just called, hit "zero" to get the receptionist, got the message saying they are hopefully reorganizing and are not conducting business until a decision is made one way or the other.
