icecap vho's

Im looking to order 4' icecap vho's from P.A., but noticed there was an option to upgrade to 660 ballast for $20. What would the benefit of this be? If it makes a difference, I have a 75 gallon and plan on having the two vho super actinics and will soon be adding two 150w hqi. -thanks eric

Spent the extra $20.00 and get the 660. It will have more sesale value, and much more versatility. I set up an aquarium with a 660/ two 5" bulbs, when I added a frag tank to the system I was able to add two 24" bulbs to the ballast for the cost of bulbs and end caps!

will the 660 'overdrive' the two 4' vho's?

The 660 will not overdrive any VHO tubes. It will only overdrive the T5 tubes.
