Ich after 4 weeks with Copper

Hello everybody, three months ago I had a Velvet outbreak in my 130 gallon Fowlr System.

I lost all of my fishes except one 10 inches Blonde Naso

I took out muy sand and live rock, then I treated with Cupramine at 0.5 ppm for 4 weeks.

Then, I reintroduced the sand and live rock.

Everything seemed fine but yesterday I saw some Ich spots on the Naso.

I really want to clear my tank for Velvet and Ich.

What is the next step I should do?

Thanks

I would not go nuclear.

40 mg/l of chloroquine phosphate for one month, followed by another month of 40 mg/l CP will kill it. It honestly may be in system for another year until all healthy fish suppress it, but the symptoms will be gone in 4-5 days. The CP tank can be converted to reef a year later. It really helps to run an algae scrubber for 1-2 months first to extract5 all the algecide properties of the medication.

I always take reef tanks up the same way. It is a captive QT for observation for a year then no more fish period.

I am not certain experts have any bearing on 74 or 90 days fallow.

I think the real issue is that QT needs to take place far away from display tank. The way aquarists screw around with same equipment from thank to tank, they are reinfected more so than any guess at a fallow length.

I think the Velvet has gone.
Maybe I am dealing with a tough strain of Ich, maybe I had made a mistake.
What about an Hypo treatment ?
