Ich and juvinille blue tang

So my tang recently got an outbreak of ich. He's about an inch and i transfered him into a 10 gallon quarantine tank. I recently found out that ich cannot be removed by itself if i leave the tang there for a couple weeks. (i read that if the tang seems fine, it simply just built an immunity against it)
Since chemical treatment is proactive way to remove the parasite, i plan to either use copper treatment or formalin but was wondering that if I use any of these products, will i not be able to use the products from my qt such as the heater, powerheads, and hob filter in my display tank after sterilization? Should i keep these components separate to prevent cross contamination of the chemicals?

The tank transfer method is the best way to go to get rid of ich and without chemical use.

And if the fish was in your display tank, your display tank now has ich. Please read the stickies.

ive read the sticky and the are all very vague. IF the using formalin or copper treatment at the qt helps the tang rid of ich. I heard they CAN still be CARRIERS. How true is this? And will copper contaminate and "stick " into my heater and powerheads aka would i not be able to use it in my dt after washing it?

Formalin is not a reliable ich cure. Just because your tang isn't showing spots doesn't mean its immune. Its vital to know the ich life cycle to make sense of treatment; again, the stickies. . Fish that are treated properly with copper are not carriers. Heaters and other non-porous equipment is usable anywhere after sterilizing. Bottom line--ALL of your fish have ich and need to be treated while your DT stays fishless for 12 weeks or so.

Lots of bad advice in lots of places. Fortunately there are a handful of very sensible folks on RC dispensing good advice (much of which I have adopted), some here in your thread. An asymptomatic untreated fish can certainly be a carrier, but if you follow accepted treatments for ich your tang will be clear.
