Ich and Velvet 2 week of treatment still not gone!

Hello ,

Thank you for taking the time to read this .So I noticed that one of my clown fish had a white milky film on him and also noticed that my Hippo Tang had ich .So ,I immediately thought ,oh fun ick and Brook ...So i setup the QT heater HOB filters and power head .I been treating them Daily for two weeks .I have the pair of clown fish,Hippo tang ,one chromi and two Neon Gobies ..The first week everyone looked much better and eating healthy,lots of energy .Now week two ,one of my Neon Goby looks full of ick and the original Male Clown fish looks like he has the brook again but not as bad as before .I have been treating with Kordon Rid-Ich Plus ,once a day ...as it's what i could get my hands on. Im about to give up and just get Chloroquine Phosphate online as its the only thing that has ever really worked for me .How long can i keep treating daily for ? Im getting desperate even thought of getting a new small clown fish and let the neon gobie back to the fs ....I do Fresh water dips also .

Treatment needs to go as long as a month. Have you tested your copper level to be in proper levels?

Kordon Rid-Ich PluS ,is based off of Malachite Green and Formalin.

That does not work on marine ich or velvet. Copper or cp does.

Went to the FS and bought some cupramine .Thanks for the heads up .. they didnt have CP .

Copper for Ich or velvet is a minimum of 30 days. Chloroquine Phosphate is a better choice for both Ich and velvet providing you're not treating wrasse or pipefish
