ICH delema

OK, I just lost two tangs (very quickly) to ICH - about three days from the outbreak. Now I have a hawk fish, three fire gobies, and a clown. Here are my questions;

I have set up a hospital tank set up as the hawk fish and clown show signs of ICH. The gobies don't show any signs at all.

I am going to use Cupramine . The last time I used Cupramine it killed the gobies, but I do not want any hosts in the DT for the ICH to survive. Should I put the gobies in the hospital tank?

Also, if I am going to get a new tang, should I get it now and put the new fish in the hospital tank? This way any parasites will be taken care of?

Thanks for any help.

Use TTM. It less stress on the fish and your gobies will survive that for sure. Make sure you have a tank for all those fish to live in for 72 days. If you want to know how to do TTM there is a sticky at begging of this forum to help you out.

i agree with above posters. ttm for all 5 fish then observe in a qt. fallow the display tank+sump(the whole system) fishless for at least 72 days. and i'd not get the tang in this situation.

fish dying within 3 days of symptoms sounds like something other than ich to me. If it is ich I agree with what the others have posted. Good luck

I don't think ich would take out fish in three days, might be something internal. Some reefers do a dose of prazipro one of the tanks during TTM. That will, should kill internal parasites/worms the fish may have.
