Ich in reef

I think the more non-scaled fish one has in their tank (tangs, angels) the more severe the problem since these fish seem to have the greatest susceptibility to the parasite.

It's a chance I'm not willing to take again, therefore the qt.

Back to my original post though :)....I stopped feeding the display directly and started dosing some amino acids to keep nutrient in the water for the SPS while the fish are in the qt. I'm thinking about feeding some Rod's food coral blend since it's recommended for frag farmers that don't have fish in their systems.
 
+1 to MammothReefer. There are lots of good articles on RC about ICH. Trust me I feel like I read them all. I also had ich, or my fish had ich. I did QT them and treated with copper with success. But later found out that with good water and feeding or basically whatever it takes to keep stress down is a great approach. I'm of the belief that ich lives in all our tanks no matter how much QT'ing you do. Stress bring it out whatever the cause.
