My new mandarin is pretty darn sick. I'm not sure how I'd catch it out of the tank (a quick siphon with large tubing? ), but I'm thinking he needs a freshwater dip/bath to alleviate what looks like Ich to me. When I bought it, I felt it was acting just a little odd but was so pretty. Impulse buy. meh.
The irony is I just posted recently how unusual it is for mandarins to get Ich, and then this happened within mere days. I've only had it a couple of days, but I'm thinking I should try to catch it and do something. Any advice?
All evening I watched this fish and it never moved from that spot. It was alive and breathing at lights out, but I don't know what tomorrow will bring.
I've never put a mandarin in quarantine because of their feeding requirements, but I hate to just do nothing.
