Ich or stress?

Mine is eating, slowly but surely. He is a medium/large so he is a good size. Him and a clown are the only 2 in the tank so I don't have to worry about stress from other fish

If he still eating? If so soak some food in selcon..
I have no clue what that can be

I have no idea either. I would think if ich the fish would be breathing heavier but seems in perfect health, just can't figure out what the spots are.

Keep water quality up, feed lots of greens, soak in selcon if possible and hopefully it clears up..
The spots almost 100% certain don't resemble ich.

My red sea bannerfish broke out with this symptom a few month ago and died.

I think its a viral disease because I saw some growth that looked like lympho before the full outbreak.

I'm starting to think certain fish carry it for life and can have outbreaks if stressed.

Were there any ragged fins of your bannerfish?

He didn't make it. Came home to a dead naso. Any idea what this could be? I had been dosing Rally to help with bacterial infection, garlic on his seaweed and just did water change yesterday. My perimeters were nitrate very close to 0, phosphates .06, temp 77, sal .025.

Ich or stress?

Good luck. I'm 0 for 2 on naso tangs. I know many friends who haven't had success with them either. I think they are mis-classified as "moderate" care level. Seems like they are just hard to get to eat and very delicate.

I'm 0 for 3. Have a larger fat male in TTM right now, with streamers. He's been in LFS in copper for 3 months.

I get them eating just fine, it's just after quarantine, for me, they die at about 1-1.5 months. No reason, they just get lethargic and die. No signs of dz either. All eating well. The new one I have is 6-6.5" and hopefully he does well cuz this one cost me bout $150.

OP just saw that yours died. Sorry to read that. Nasos just die for some reason and we don't know why really. The marks you had looked like damage from shipping, btw.

This one was probably 5 inches but had spots since I got it. It only lasted almost a week. My clown I have in the same tank is doing just fine

I'm on my 6th naso within 2 years... lost 2 to velvet, 3 just died out of nowhere... and I figured I'll try 1 last one... this being the smallest at 2.5"... have had him 5 weeks now... hope for the best...
If this one doesn't make it, I give up completely on naso tangs

That would be really bad. He came in like that. It seems like the spots would clear up some then go back. It never scratched or breathed funny. Was a real shock when it was dead when I came home
