I have a Blonde naso tang that has ich....along with a clown, singapore angel and a porcupine puffer. I have set up a hospital tank and treating with cupramine. My naso is my biggest concern. Ive noticed today that he is gettting a bruised look on his body, head and dorsal fins. Is this normal? Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else I can do? I had him in my 180gal tank....What should I do to my big tank?

Thanks for any advice

I just had the same problems you have and did the same thing. My powder blue is looking much better. I would increase the temp in your big tank to spead up the ich cycle. Also, take out all the fish in your big tank cause they are probably carrying ich but are immune to them. Hospitalize them also. If you have corals in your big tank, don't increase your temp over 82 degree. I would keep your big tank fish free for about 8 weeks to be safe. The bruised look is normal cause that's where the ich has broken through the layer of skin to reproduce. The cupramine will kill ich in free-swimming stage. GOOD LUCK!!!!

If I can get one of him I will post it...but like I said he is in a hospital tank and I dont have a light on it and I dont want to stress him out...not sure if a picture will turn out or not...but if I can do it without bothering him too much I will.
