ick and corals

If a tank has ick and I get a coral from the tank. Will I introduce ick into my tank from the coral? If that could happen how should I treat the coral before introducing it into my aquarium?

Yes you could, a coral is full of water and if that water is full of ich, so is the coral.
You would have to keep that coral in a tank with no fish for about 6 weeks.

+1 And its not just the water, but any rock or plug that the coral is attached to can have tomonts on it. An eight week quarantine is safer.
