its ick, I have been dealing with it for almost 10 years
That seems like a matter of choice...
Either way, pictures would be helpful in showing us the severity of the infestation, so we can offer you the best course of action. Day 7, still covered in ich, seems like hypo isn't working. I wouldn't expect all of the ich to just drop off one day - when there's so much of it throughout the tank, it's going to be at different stages in the life cycle all at once, not synchronized.
It is not uncommon for strains of Cryptocaryon to be immune to periods of hyposalinity.
please review the great info on the stickies
what will you be able to tell from a none moving picture ? even the pros cant tell anything from it ! u have to watch the fish to be able to tell ! ich, lympho, fluke, ... they all look the same in pictures !
there is just sooo much mis-information on here .. i feel bad for new ppl trying to read these to decide how to treat fish and so on.
Ami, my last reply about mutated strain, was towards the person I quoted, Reeferstace. I agree with ure comment about having to leave fish in hypo for some time after last spot![]()
FWIW, I always treat fish that have ich with hypo. wait till spots are gone, then wait another week or two at hypo with an ATO, then a week to raise it and all good. .
